Tee Grizzley had a huge 2018 but the rapper isn’t wasting any time this year. Although a month passed, the rapper is back with his first solo track of the year titled, “God First.” Grizzley delivers exactly what fans want on this track: bars. For nearly three minutes, Tee Grizzley goes beast mode on the beat without any need for a hook. “I’m puttin’ God first/ ‘Cause he came to my rescue/ I put family third/ You know that money second/ Because when I was broke/ Without no money stretchin’/ Nobody felt that shit but me/ N***a, I made it happen,” he raps.
Tee Grizzley is coming off of the most successful year of his career thus far. In 2018, the rapper released his debut album Activated and followed it up with his mixtape, Still My Moment in November. The work he put in clearly paid off. At the beginning of the year, it was reported that Tee Grizzley was working with Kanye West on the upcoming Yandhi album.
